Career Link Program

Career Link opens its doors to unemployed, struggling youth in our community. Participants will have the opportunity to work on employability skills, life skills, and academic-based programming, while enhancing their personal growth and development. This takes place in small groups and in one on one environments where participants work on THEIR needs and goals at their own pace.

In the past 2 years, Career Link has seen over 30 youth gain FULL TIME employment while a number of others are working part-time or have returned to academics, depending on their goals. Our completion rates are practically 100% since Youth are self-motivated yet highly supported to succeed.

With a Choice Theory approach, Career Link focuses on individual’s needs while creating a learner-driven atmosphere. Youth can choose to attend specific activities or work at their own pace, while working on-site for up to 35 hours per week. Schedules are flexible in order to meet individual needs. Participants must be between the ages of 15 to 30 and can be referred to the program by their case managers, school, social worker, probation officer or other community agencies. This safe and supportive environment encourages youth to learn and grow at their own pace and in their own direction while achieving and having loads of fun! Participants will meet with a number of professionals and special guest throughout the program and have an opportunity to go on exciting field trips.
